Ingratitude Makes the World Go Round

October 15, 2008 at 6:18 PM 2 comments

A while ago, when my parents gave another one of my parent’s impromptu speeches. The subject of ingratitude came up and it got me thinking for a little bit.

The rather negative trait is a crucial element in preserving the delicate balance of the world.

People get rich, and then give birth to ingrateful kids. The ingrateful kids squander their parents’ money, thinking that it all comes for free.

In the meantime, people who are not so well off raise kids who realizes the value of money and education and sieze all opportunities available to them.

Thus, the rich get poorer while the poor get richer. And then the wheel turns again…

But then why are people with “old money” still so rich? Well, you can blame that on high-income tax cuts and banks – some people can live off interest alone.

Then again, some people cheat the system and aren’t ingrateful when they have a lot of opportunities.

Grammatical error: “kids who *realize*” the subject kids is plural.

Have you ever heard the phrase, ” Money makes the mermaid go blind.” This quote is an example of this blog post.

    Food for Thought…

This reminds me about a survey that they were asking wealthy folks “What is your greatest fear?”

response: “my child becoming the next paris hilton”
