Who to Blame for Symbolism

We all know that there’s supposed to be separation of church and state. However, there’s still the “In God we Trust” and “under one God” in the pledge of allegiance and all that, but that’s minor and I’m not too bothered with that at the moment, even though I’m not the biggest fan of religion of any sort.

Then some junior tells me about Bible cards. I understand that we’re using the Bible stories and that the school isn’t trying to preach to us or anything, but if there’s another thing I’m not a big fan of, it’s symbolism.

And I just realized how much symbolism that bliddy English Honors teachers are bound to find in the Bible. Why in the world did some old man/men who has currently spent two thousand years with his alleged God have to write this bunch of stories? Now look what happened to our schools. Our teachers now cannot seem to accept the fact that authors merely used the color white to describe the color of an object as white, or using the number three simply because he needed three objects. Instead, they have to brew up entire conspiracies for the author, linking him to the loss of innocence and sexual discrimination.

Thanks a lot whoever wrote the Bible. I hope you’re happy.

And I haven’t even gotten started on author’s purpose yet. I wonder what the Muslim’s version of the Bible says.

This symbolism *expletive* is just a bunch of *expletive*. The education system is illogical. Symbolism is primitive because students assume or guess what symbols represent. All this goes against what is used in the almost accurate science world, providing lots of evidence to support a hypothesis. English is subjective. In fact, many rulers used symbolism to gain power and maintain stability. Some rulers claimed that they could talk to gods. Why do students need to take English? Why do students need to know how to analyze a 9000 year old document? Why do students need to write essays that appeal to one person, the teacher? Why is the fate of one student controlled by one or two people, the counselors? The education system is just messed up. English class is messed up. English teachers waste trees just to print out useless literature that is just “sappy.” Readers… do not take offense. After all, this comment is “right, mostly wrong, and funny” about this world.
